What's In and What's Not
The Eyes
Focus is aimed towards eyeliners! Eyes are rimmed with darker liners
for the passionate look. The overall feel is a "smoky" look. Shadows
such as greens, violet, and gray are in for the season with darker
liner and well defined eyes. The latest in-look is using a black
eyeliner and Chocolate, Pewter, Deep Sea Blue or Charcoal as liner
on top. Shine is still hot and the new Shimmer Dusts add just the
right touch of glimmer and gleam to the eyes without overwhelming
to give you an up-to-date look for fall.
The Face
The Face is nude and is the perfect palette for power lips or power
eyes. Foundation is sheer and light for perfect looking skin. A
touch of luminizer works wonderfully to reflect light away (which
is also great for minimizing fine lines and a less than perfect
texture). Your foundation should perfectly match your natural skin
tone, or be just a shade lighter. Blush colors range from neutral
to barely there earth tones. Your cheekbones should be accented,
not have added color. A slight flush is the maximum amount of color
for cheeks for the fall season.
The Lips
Lips continue to be frosted, but the base colors are plums, berries,
pink, purples, and roses. Everything "pink" from warm to cool and
the darkest burgandy and wine shades to the metallic nude. The most
important part is shine, with a softer and more natural look. Matte
finishes are gone for lips and glosses and stains are more natural
looking. If you choose a dark lip color for fall, use neutral and
flushed for the face and smoky eyes. Avoid heavy lipliners and and
add the final touch of gloss or LipSheer. The Nails Nails continue
to be done in Burgandies, Wines, Plums and deep wine colors with
frost. You can match your nails to your lips or clothes or just
select a deep rich color and top it with a sheer frosted color to
coordinate with everything.
